WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Angela Bizzarri, Illinois
Fr., Mason, Ohio/Mason

In the first race of her collegiate career, Bizzarri claimed the individual Brissman-Lundeen title last weekend and led the Illini to the team crown in a field of 33 squads.  The Illinois freshman crossed the finish line first with a 6,000-meter time of 20:54, which was only four seconds shy of the UI 6K freshmen record set by reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Year Katie Engel at last season's NCAA Championships.

This is Bizzarri's first career weekly honor from the conference office.
