Hunt won the Bradley Invitational in Peoria, Illinois last weekend in her first race of the season. The Illini sophomore clocked a 6K personal best time of 21:01 for the victory.

Hunt's performance also put her at the top of Illinois' all-time 6K list, breaking the previous school record for that distance by 23 seconds. The time also marks a new career best for the sophomore, eclipsing her old standard by 28 seconds.

Last year, Hunt was selected as the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, becoming the first Illini runner to ever receive that distinction. She also became the first freshman in school history to ever qualify for the NCAA Championships.
