Hunt earned her second straight Big Ten Runner of the Week honor after capturing her second consecutive title of the year, winning the 5K Saluki Invitational in a course record time of 17:05.30.  Her time broke the old course mark by 57 seconds and helped lead the Fighting Illini to their second meet victory in as many weeks.

Hunt, the 2003 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, also posted a new 5K personal record, topping her previous time by nearly 52 seconds. In addition, Hunt's time was the second fastest 5K time by an Illini sophomore and the sixth fastest 5K time in UI history.

Two weeks ago, Hunt won the Bradley Invitational in her first race of the season, clocking a 6K personal best time and school record of 21:01 for the victory.
