Illinois freshman Meghan Frigo has been tabbed the Big Ten women's cross country Runner of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Meghan Frigo earns her first Big Ten weekly honor after leading Illinois to a tie for first place at the Illini Open last weekend. Frigo recorded a new personal best in the five-kilometer race, cutting 52 seconds off of her previous mark en route to a second-place finish. Her time of 18:11 paced the Illini, who placed four runners in the top 10.
