Wells earns her first Conference honor after turning in a career-best performance at last weekend's Marathon Sports Open. She was the top runner for the Gophers, placing fourth in the open meet with a 5K time of 19:14.6.
Prior to redshirting last season, Wells placed fifth on team and sixth overall at the 2002 Minnesota Open, setting her previous career-best 5K time of 19:53.1.
