Women's Cross Country Closes 2010 Season at NCAA Championships

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The 2010 NCAA Cross Country Championships concluded on Monday afternoon with four Big Ten women's teams and six at-large individuals taking part in the action. Three Big Ten runners earned All-America status, as Wisconsin's Emily Sisson, Minnesota's Stephanie Price and Michigan State's Emily MacLeod each turned in top-40 performances.
Sisson led the way among conference participants, finishing the six-kilometer course in 20:28.3 en route to a 14th place finish. Price took 31st, crossing the tape in 20:46.2, and MacLeod finished 37th, turning in a time of 20:48.1.
Michigan put together the best team finish among Big Ten squads, finishing 22nd. Michigan State followed closely behind, taking 23rd. Penn State finished 26th with Minnesota rounding out the Big Ten contingent in 27th.
