I have one memory in particular of defeating Ohio State in a tough five-game match at their place. This win would have us finishing tied for first in the Big Ten with Minnesota, who had the exact same record as us. I remember being in the van on the way to the airport after the match and coach got a call from our marketing department that Minnesota had just lost that night, making us sole Big Ten Champions.
We immediately pulled over our two vans in a gas station in Columbus, Ohio, and all got out and starting running all over the gas station hugging and cheering. It must have been quite a site for the gas station attendant, but it was a great feeling for us to be the champion of such an amazing conference!
