Share Your Story: Jennifer Maastricht
Jennifer Maastricht As I sit here writing this my eyes are welling up with tears. The memories of playing in a National Championship and playing in a packed field house are still vivid in my imagination, my heart and my whole being. In a way, I think volleyball defined my teammates and me. It was such a big part of our lives at Wisconsin, and I am so thankful for the role models I had at that time. We were blessed with two wonderful head coaches when I was there, three different assistant coaches and our trainer - all of whom still impact me today with their constant love and support. The one thing I will always remember is the fans, big and small. The birthday cards, the little ones asking for autographs after games, the cheering and smiles. Thank you to all of the wonderful fans we had all those years, and thank you to all of the people who made Wisconsin volleyball an amazing experience for all of us. |
