Wisconsin - Cross Country & Track - 1978-83
Participating as a student-athlete at the University of Wisconsin was a fantastic and very memorable experience for me. I made life-long friendships and am proud to be part of the University of Wisconsin "family" - I even met my husband on campus, too!
Competing in the national cross country meet my sophomore year (1979) in Tallahassee, Fla., was most exciting. In my day, travel to competitions was primarily done by van and driving with my coach, Peter Tegen, was - to say the very least - nail biting! I know my fellow teammates would concur; if we could survive the trip to the meet, we had the guts to challenge any competitor. I cherish the days I spent at UW and always look forward to attending current athletic events with my Badger husband to wave our red and white. GO BADGERS!
