Ohio State - Rowing - 2000-03
My freshman year at Ohio State I competed in the inaugural Big Ten Women's Rowing Championships. I felt a huge sense of pride to take part in such a wonderful event in women's athletics. My most memorable experience was being part of the first Big Ten Championship team in Ohio State women's rowing history in 2002. Before every race that day, our coaches and teammates sent every boat off the dock singing the OSU fight song. Being on the podium with all my teammates and best friends, was the greatest feeling of pride and accomplishment. I was so proud to be a Buckeye and a part of women's athletics.
I to continue carry that pride with me today. My experience as a student-athlete has been a fantastic opportunity to gain great life values of teamwork, commitment and dedication. It was an opportunity to accomplish great goals. Most of all, it was a chance to meet amazing people who have become life-long friends and family.
